DIRECTOR OF NRG
SAM HARRISON
Sam is a highly experienced music educator with over a decade of teaching music workshops. He holds a prestigious degree in Songwriting and a Level 7 (Master's) Teaching Certificate, demonstrating his academic and professional expertise.
As an accomplished musician, Sam performs with his band, Rising Fever, touring extensively across Europe and the USA alongside renowned artists such as Starsailor, Caroline Spence, and Ben Caplan. He is also a sought-after touring session musician, having played with Alana Springsteen during her MainStage performance at the 2023 Long Road Festival.
In addition, Sam is a skilled tour manager, contributing to high-profile tours, including Richard Thompson's (Fairport Convention) performances at iconic venues like The Brighton Dome and Alexandra Palace in London.
Further showcasing his versatility, Sam was featured on the theme song of the BBC One drama The Syndicatein 2022, cementing his presence in the world of music and media.
SEAN DUNCAN

Sean Duncan is a distinguished musician and educator, specializing in world music, jazz, and an array of other genres. With a Master’s degree in Music and extensive experience as a tutor and band leader, Sean is deeply committed to fostering the creative growth of his students.
His tailored teaching approach and dedication to excellence make him an ideal mentor for musicians at any stage of their journey.

GINA LARNER
MUSIC TUTOR
Gina Larner is a professional singer-songwriter/performer with extensive touring experience in UK & beyond, including headline dates with her all-female band. Gina has a 1st degree in Popular Music nd is multi instrumentalist capable of supporting every instrument through the songs.
Passionate about empowering young female musicians, Gina specializes in confidence-building and performance coaching, building on feeling secure with rehearsal room’s, understanding your own setup, and collaborating effectively.
Leading an all-female band has highlighted the importance of making instruments more approachable for young girls. With a background in country, rock, and pop, and having supported names like James Blunt and Simply Red, Gina combines real-world industry insights with a supportive teaching style, helping students overcome barriers and discover their creative potential.
CHRIS HALLEN
MUSIC TUTOR
Chris has been immersed in music since the age of 11, honing his craft as both a performer and songwriter. Over the past few years, he has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, sharing the stage with acclaimed acts such as Allah Las, Demob Happy, Peace, The Nude Party, The Sheepdogs, Triptides, The Murlocs, and Daniel Romano, among others.
A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Chris is highly proficient in bass, guitar, and drums. His expertise and dedication have made him a sought-after musician and educator, teaching at several institutions in Brighton. His meticulous attention to detail, exceptional musicianship, and empathetic teaching style have earned him a reputation as one of the most skilled and inspiring band leaders in the region.

TOM ANDERSON
MUSIC TUTOR
Tom has built an impressive career spanning over a decade in the music industry, where he has honed his craft through writing, touring, and performing original projects across the UK and Europe. Holding a BA Honours degree in Professional Musicianship and Songwriting, he combines technical expertise with a deep passion for creative expression.
Currently, Tom channels his talents into composing music for advertising syncs and music libraries while dedicating himself to empowering others. He plays a vital role in delivering and supporting innovative creative projects for individuals with learning disabilities through organizations such as NRG, Superstar Arts, and SMS.
With an unwavering passion for songwriting, Tom finds immense joy in inspiring others to explore songwriting as a powerful tool for self-expression and creativity.
New Rock Generation has been teaching band workshops for over 15 Years in the EAST SUSSEX AREA.
Our specialised courses were originally designed for Blatchington Mill School's Community Arts Project. Due to the success of these workshops, New Rock Generation Ltd was formed in 2012 and now offers its courses / events to young people across Brighton and Hove.
Many of our previous students are working as professional musicians or have gone on to study music at A Level and Degree Level.
